The study aims to conceptualize Islamic education as a comprehensive protective system encompassing spiritual, moral, and social dimensions, as well as to analyze the role of parents in strengthening family resilience based on Qur’anic and Prophetic guidance. Employing a qualitative approach, this research utilizes thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu‘i) and hadith content analysis, drawing on classical exegetical works such as those of Ibn Kathir and Ath-Thabari alongside contemporary scholarly literature. The findings indicate that QS. At-Tahrim: 6 emphasizes collective family responsibility in safeguarding members from moral and spiritual deviation through faith cultivation, exemplary conduct, and continuous educational supervision. Relevant hadiths on family protection, including HR. Abu Dawud No. 494, reinforce this mandate by highlighting early religious habituation and an affection-based preventive educational approach. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative framework that combines thematic Qur’anic exegesis with the concept of preventive family education, offering a holistic model of proactive Islamic education oriented toward safeguarding families from both worldly and ukhrawi threats. The study concludes that Qur’anic and Prophetic values should be systematically embedded within a proactive family-based Islamic education system to ensure comprehensive protection and well-being.
Mufaizah Copyright (c) 2026 Mufaizah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/889 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of the Traditional Game Sapintrong Based on Local Wisdom on Strengthening Global Diversity Character of Third Grade Elementary School Students https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/894
This research aims to analyze the influence of the traditional game Sapintrong, based on local wisdom, on strengthening the character of global diversity among third-grade students at SDN 04 Panggang. This study aims to examine the relevance of philosophy of science in constructing the foundational principles of educational science as a basis for improving learning quality in schools. The research employs a qualitative approach with a structured literature study design. Data were obtained through the selection of relevant scholarly sources, including educational policy documents, national performance reports, philosophy of science textbooks, and indexed research articles. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, involving data reduction, conceptual categorization, synthesis of findings, and the identification of relational patterns between empirical phenomena and the philosophical framework of science. The findings reveal that weak learning quality stems from the lack of integration among three core dimensions of educational science: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. Learners are not yet understood as active learning subjects; knowledge continues to be treated as a final object to be transmitted; and humanistic values have not become the foundation of instructional orientation. This conceptual fragmentation results in educational practices that are mechanistic and misaligned with scientific principles and the demands of the twenty-first century. The integration of philosophy of science provides a robust conceptual framework for reconstructing the foundational principles of educational science, enabling educators to develop learning processes that are more reflective, dialogical, critical, and value-oriented. The study affirms that improving learning quality requires the transformation of educators’ epistemic paradigms rather than mere technical innovation.
Ma'shumah Syamsir, Welly Ervina Solissa, Muhammad Syukur, M Ridwan Said Ahmad Copyright (c) 2026 Ma'shumah Syamsir, Welly Ervina Solissa, Muhammad Syukur, M Ridwan Said Ahmad https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/1008 Sat, 28 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM)-Based Quality Management in Improving the Quality of Vocational Technology Education https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/1007
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving the quality of Vocational and Technological Education (PTK) in Indonesian vocational high schools. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores the dynamics of TQM practices through interviews, observations, and document reviews. The findings reveal that quality in vocational education is not driven solely by managerial documentation, but by the consistency of organizational behavior and cultural practices. High-performing schools demonstrate strong instructional leadership, embedded 5S work culture, industry-aligned teacher competencies, and active, sustainable partnerships with industrial stakeholders. In contrast, low-performing schools tend to implement TQM superficially, with incomplete PDCA cycles, inconsistent quality culture, and weak industry engagement. These findings emphasize that the success of TQM implementation relies on four key pillars: visionary leadership, consistent industrial work culture, continuous teacher competence development, and substantive industry collaboration as the primary customer. Therefore, improving vocational education quality requires systemic cultural transformation rather than purely administrative compliance.
Ridha Kartini, Nizwardi Jalinus, Ernawati, Henny Yustisia Copyright (c) 2026 Ridha Kartini, Nizwardi Jalinus, Ernawati, Henny Yustisia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/1007 Sat, 28 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Using Quizwhizzer Website-Based Learning Media on Students' Learning Motivation in Economics Subjects https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/1006
This study examines the effect of Quizwhizzer, a web-based interactive learning platform, on students’ learning motivation in Economics at SMA Negeri 12 Palembang. The background to this research is the low ability of students to read poetry expressively, caused by conventional learning methods that do not involve students' liveliness. This research uses a Class Action Research (PTK) approach with two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The research subjects were 16 students with varying levels of ability. The results of the pre-cycle observations showed that the majority of students were in the category of sufficient and insufficient grades, with an average of 59.37. After the application of the demonstration method, there was a significant increase in cycle I with the average value reaching 73.43. Students experience development in terms of intonation, expression, articulation, and appreciation when reading poetry. In addition to improving technical skills, this method also has a positive impact on students' learning motivation and self-confidence. The results of the study concluded that the demonstration method was effectively used in learning to read poetry because it was able to integrate cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Therefore, this method is recommended to be applied in the teaching of other literary materials that require the expressive and interpretive involvement of students directly.
Andi Wapa, Denok Andini , Ulya Nurul Laili Copyright (c) 2026 Andi Wapa, Denok Andini , Ulya Nurul Laili https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/865 Mon, 23 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Project-based dance learning in Inclusive Dance Education in junior high schools: A Scoping Review https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/985
Inclusive dance education aims to provide equal learning experiences for all students, including those with special needs. Project-based learning is a relevant approach because it emphasizes active engagement, collaboration, and creative processes that can be adapted to students' varying abilities. However, literature reviews that specifically discuss the implementation of this approach in the context of inclusive dance education are still limited. This scoping review aims to map empirical evidence on implementation strategies, pedagogical benefits, and challenges in implementing project-based dance learning in inclusive secondary schools. Literature searches were conducted through the Scopus, Springer, and Google Scholar databases for publications from 2021 to 2025. The findings show that project-based learning can improve movement creativity, collaborative skills, self-confidence, and social participation of students with special needs. The application of this model has also been proven to encourage positive interactions between students and strengthen character traits such as responsibility and independence. However, a number of obstacles were encountered, including limited facilities, the need to adapt instructions and communication for students with disabilities, and the low level of preparedness among teachers in designing truly inclusive dance projects. This study provides a conceptual and practical foundation for educators, policymakers, and researchers to develop project-based dance learning designs that are more responsive to the diversity of students' abilities.
Zahrah Luthfi Kholifah, Rita Milyartini , Juju Masunah Copyright (c) 2026 Zahrah Luthfi Kholifah, Rita Milyartini , Juju Masunah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/985 Thu, 19 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Learning Time Management, Self-Efficacy, Learning Readiness, Parental Support, and Learning Independence on the Learning Achievement of Grade XI Students in Phase F https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/812
This study aims to analyze: 1) The effect of time management on academic achievement, 2) the effect of self-efficacy on academic achievement, 3) the effect of learning readiness on academic achievement, 4) the effect of parental support on academic achievement, 5) the effect of learning independence on academic achievement. However, the learning practices in elementary schools are still dominated by a teacher-centered approach, so the potential for students' critical thinking has not yet developed optimally. This article aims to critically examine the implementation of student-centered learning in the context of thematic learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is a critical literature review thru the Critical Book Review (CBR) and Critical Journal Review (CJR) approaches, by examining theoretical literature and recent empirical research. The study results show that student-centered learning aligns with the principles of constructivism, which positions students as active subjects in building knowledge thru experience, interaction, and reflection. The application in thematic learning, especially thru the problem-based learning model, discovery learning, and probing prompting, has proven effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills, such as analysis, evaluation, problem-solving, and creativity. However, the effectiveness of the implementation highly depends on the readiness of the teachers, the quality of HOTS-based lesson planning, and the availability of media and supporting facilities. Some studies also show varying results, ranging from high to moderate categories, which emphasize the need to adapt strategies according to the school context. It is concluded that student-centered learning has both theoretical and practical relevance in enhancing critical thinking among elementary school students, provided it is supported by teacher competence and an adequate education system.
Liza Satria, Nurizam Auji, Guido Nainggolan Copyright (c) 2026 Liza Satria, Nurizam Auji, Guido Nainggolan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/871 Mon, 23 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Criminality of Child Involvement in Prostitution thru Online Media: Educational Study and Prevention Efforts https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/975
This research examines the legal consequences for perpetrators of online prostitution involving minors and analyzes legal protections for children as victims and offenders. The research was conducted by collecting and analyzing national and international journal articles published between 2019 and 2024, focusing on the relationship between cognitive development and learning outcomes in elementary education. Using databases such as Google Scholar and Open Knowledge Maps, 958 articles were initially identified, and after a two-stage screening process, 21 articles were deemed relevant. The findings reveal that cognitive development significantly affects students’ ability to process information, think critically, and apply knowledge in problem-solving contexts. Several key factors influence cognitive development, including learning environment, quality of instruction, nutrition, and social interaction. Teachers who understand the cognitive stages of their students are better able to design effective, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning activities. Moreover, stimulating environments and balanced nutrition support children’s brain development and learning performance. The study highlights that optimal cognitive development contributes to higher academic achievement, improved social competence, and more effective collaboration in school learning contexts. These findings underscore the need for teachers and parents to create supportive conditions that foster both cognitive and socio-emotional growth in elementary education.
Framz Hardiansyah, Ivon Ayunatasari Maimunah Albay, Purnama Agustini, Dani Rifky Fitra Pradana, Moh Ainor Rofiqi Copyright (c) 2026 Framz Hardiansyah, Ivon Ayunatasari Maimunah Albay, Purnama Agustini, Dani Rifky Fitra Pradana, Moh Ainor Rofiqi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/918 Sun, 22 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Design of and E-Learning Story Maps Application Global Cultural Diversity Material to Improve Digital Literacy of Grade IV Students in Elementari School https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/705
The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve students' digital literacy skills in elementary schools by utilizing story maps in the online learning process. To date, the application of Qiyas as a basis for establishing grammatical rules has been marked by numerous differences and disputes between the two major schools: Basrah and Kufah. The objective of this article is to conduct an in-depth analysis of Qiyas as a foundation of grammatical science. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. This involves a series of activities related to gathering data from written sources, such as Ibn Al-Anbari's Al-Insaf Fi Masa'il Al-Khilaf as the core analytical material, supplemented by secondary sources from classical and contemporary literature on the comparison of the Basrah and Kufah schools. The process includes reading, note-taking, and analyzing research materials, with data analysis conducted using comparative content analysis techniques. The findings of this study indicate that while there are differences in the application of Qiyas between the two grammatical schools, both agree that Qiyas is one of the essential foundations of grammatical science.
Gita Febriyani, Asrina Copyright (c) 2026 Gita Febriyani, Asrina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/969 Thu, 19 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Emotional Intelligence, School Environment, Learning Media, and Family Environment on Learning Outcomes Thru the Intervening of Study Discipline in Class X Phase E Students in Economics Subject https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/820
This study aims to determine: the influence of emotional intelligence, school environment, learning media, family environment and learning discipline on the learning outcomes of class X students in Phase E Economics Subjects at SMA N 13 Padang. The background reveals that although the Arabic language holds a central role as the foundation of civilization and the language of the Qur'an, the understanding of Arabic linguistic terms often overlaps, potentially affecting learning outcomes. The method employed is Library Research (Studi Pustaka) with a qualitative approach, involving descriptive-analytical data analysis, including the interpretation and comparison of classical and contemporary literature. The findings indicate that some scholars equate Fiqhul-Lughah with ‘Ilmul-Lughah, which is often defined as encompassing synchronic, diachronic, and comparative studies. However, the key distinction lies in the focus: Fiqih Lughah has a broader scope, is historical-comparative, and treats language as an instrument for understanding culture and civilization. Conversely, ‘Ilm al-Lughah is descriptive-structural and studies language as the primary objective. The research concludes that the most accurate term for linguistics is ‘Ilm al-Lughah, while Fiqh al-Lughah is more relevantly equated with philology, the discipline that examines the authenticity and content of classical manuscripts.
Afdhalul Madani, Abdul Rosyid, Rizky Syarif Al Rosyid, Iis Susiawati Copyright (c) 2026 Afdhalul Madani, Abdul Rosyid, Rizky Syarif Al Rosyid, Iis Susiawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/995 Wed, 25 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Relationship Between Epistemological Awareness and Reading Literacy Skills of Elementary School Students https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/868
This study aims to examine the effect of epistemological awareness-based learning interventions on the reading literacy skills of elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the low reading literacy of Indonesian students and the importance of the internal variable of epistemological beliefs in influencing how students understand texts. The research uses a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group pre-test/post-test design. The research subjects consisted of 60 fifth-grade students from PAB 27 Tanjung Mulia Private Elementary School in Medan City, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research instruments include a reading literacy test based on the PISA framework and an epistemological awareness questionnaire that have been tested for validity and reliability. The treatment in the form of problem-based reading instruction with multiperspective texts was given to the experimental group for eight weeks, while the control group learned using conventional methods. The results of the ANCOVA analysis showed a significant difference in post-test reading literacy scores between the two groups, F(1,57)=18.74, p<0.001. The increase in the average reading literacy score in the experimental group was higher (16.70 points) compared to the control group (6.60 points). These findings affirm that interventions stimulating epistemological awareness effectively enhance students' reading literacy in depth. The implications of this research encourage teachers to integrate learning strategies that not only focus on literal reading skills but also foster epistemological awareness as a foundation for developing critical literacy.
Guido Nainggolan, Ribka Sang Putri Zega, Cindy Pratiwi, Daulat Saragi Copyright (c) 2026 Guido Nainggolan, Ribka Sang Putri Zega, Cindy Pratiwi, Daulat Saragi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/868 Mon, 23 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Maintenance of Karo Language Among Teenagers in Tanjung Merahe Village, Selesai District, Langkat Regency (Socio- Linguistic Study) https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/770
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the maintenance of the Karo language among teenagers in Tanjung Merahe Village based on Downes’ theory, which categorizes language use into four domains: family, friendship, activities, and motivation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with in-depth interviews conducted with selected informants. The findings reveal that in the family domain, six factors contribute to maintaining the Karo language at home: intentional teaching of the Karo language to children, intergenerational interaction, the use of Karo during family events, a home environment predominantly speaking Karo, and the instillation of Karo cultural values from an early age. In the friendship domain, six factors support the use of the Karo language: interaction with peers who speak Karo, the habit of conversing in public spaces, use of Karo within youth communities, peer influence in traditional settings, use of Karo in certain social media contexts, and role modeling by community leaders in language use. In the activity domain, two key factors were identified: the predominant use of Karo in traditional ceremonies and the involvement of teenagers in various cultural activities such as traditional ceremonies, arts, and Karo traditional music. In the motivation domain, six factors indicate the drive to maintain the Karo language: pride in using the Karo language, the desire to highlight Karo identity in front of outsiders, awareness of the importance of language preservation, commitment to using Karo in various situations, the intention to pass the language to future generations, and support from the village government through cultural preservation programs.
Melinta Br PA, Siti Aisyah Hanim, Maulidawati Copyright (c) 2026 Melinta Br PA, Siti Aisyah Hanim, Maulidawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/770 Wed, 25 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Student Needs in Differentiated Learning Using Digital Media Materials Based on the Renderforest 3d Explainer Toolkit https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/920
This study discusses differentiated learning that allows educators to identify, investigate, and meet the diverse learning needs of each student by adjusting the approach based on the needs, readiness, interests, and learning profiles of students. The approach used was qualitative research, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research subjects consisted of principals, teachers, and students, as parties directly involved in the implementation of educational programs at schools. The results indicate that various risks arise in the implementation of educational programs, such as limited facilities, low student participation, high teacher workloads, and a lack of coordination between management and program implementers. Although several mitigation strategies have been implemented, they have not been fully integrated into the overall school management system. Therefore a more systematic and participatory risk management approach is needed to ensure that each potential risk is identified, analyzed, and addressed appropriately. Effective implementation of risk management can support the achievement of educational program objectives and continuously improve educational quality.
Ridha Prama Mita, Rabukit Damanik, Lendra Faqrurrowzi Copyright (c) 2026 Ridha Prama Mita, Rabukit Damanik, Lendra Faqrurrowzi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/933 Sun, 22 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Implementation of the Peer Teaching Method to Improve Students' Speaking Skills https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/908
This study aims to improve students’ speaking skills in the Indonesian language subject through the implementation of the peer teaching method among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 011 Pulau Rambai. These difficulties are often caused by learning approaches that are too abstract, lack of use of concrete media, and lack of active involvement of students in the meaningful learning process. This research aims to design a didactic design that facilitates the understanding of the concept of flat building through the use of concrete objects. The research method used is didactic design research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of grade IV elementary school students. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of student learning outcomes. The results of the study show that the use of concrete objects such as geometrically shaped pieces of paper, and everyday objects is able to help students understand the characteristics of building flat visually and tactily. The didactic design developed contains three stages, namely the stage of initial didactic situation analysis (prospective analysis), the stage of implementing didactic design in the classroom (metapedagogical), and the stage of retrospective analysis. These findings suggest that concrete object-based learning is effective in improving conceptual understanding and reducing students' misconceptions about flat builds. The implications of this research can be used as a reference for teachers in designing meaningful and contextual mathematics learning.
Dian Purnomo, Risnawati, M. The background for this study stems from the minimal use of technology-based learning media in schools, which has resulted in low student participation in learning. Teachers often rely solely on textbooks and blackboards without utilizing other more engaging media. To address this issue, the researcher developed an interactive PowerPoint presentation based on deep learning with the assistance of Canva. An interactive PowerPoint presentation is an educational medium that supports engaging learning activities, involving interaction between teachers and students as users, thereby helping students become enthusiastic about understanding the material. Deep learning is a learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts and mastery of competencies. Students are encouraged to actively engage in the learning process. The researcher's objective in developing interactive PowerPoint media based on deep learning is to determine the validity and attractiveness of interactive PowerPoint media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The expert validation results for the media obtained 95%, subject matter experts 97.5%, teacher appeal 95%, and student appeal results.
Lailatus Sa’adah, Shofi Nur Amalia , Cindya Alfi Copyright (c) 2026 Lailatus Sa’adah, Shofi Nur Amalia , Cindya Alfi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/708 Thu, 19 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Comic Design Using the Canva Application with Critical Thinking Enhancement on the Topic of Hindu and Buddhist Historical Heritage in Elementary School https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/711
The delivery of material using physical books as the main source makes the learning process less attractive to students, especially in history learning. The manifestation of obedience to Allah SWT and carrying out His commands is embodied in spiritual attitudes. Meanwhile, mutual respect and appreciation as well as good social interaction are embodied in social attitudes. Similarly, the Islamic principle of amar makruf nahi munkar (enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil) underscores the importance of social and spiritual attitudes. Therefore, efforts are needed to enhance the spiritual and social development of students, one of which is through the use of digital learning media. This study aims to analyse these two attitudes as applied using digital learning media. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed at SD Matla’ul Khoeriyah in Bandung City. Research sources were obtained from the school principal, teachers, and students. Interviews, observations, and documentation were used as methods to collect data. The data was then analysed through collection, reduction, presentation, conclusion, and verification. The results of the study showed that the use of digital learning media effectively improved students' spiritual and social attitudes. In terms of spiritual attitudes, it enhances students' religiosity in school activities. Additionally, students' social attitudes emphasise a sense of camaraderie among peers, responsibility, and the habit of greeting others with a smile, greeting, politeness, and courtesy.
Giantomi Muhammad, Basmah Junnatussadiah Copyright (c) 2026 Giantomi Muhammad, Basmah Junnatussadiah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/718 Thu, 26 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Study Time, School Rules, Curiosity, Family Social Interaction, and Learning Facilities on the Learning Outcomes of Class X Students in Economics Subjects https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/835
This study aims to analyze the influence of study time, school rules, curiosity, family social interaction, and learning facilities on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students in Economics subjects at SMAN 16 Padang. The background of this research is based on the importance of language as a means of building social empathy and psychological support for disaster victims through reporting. Empathetic language is understood as a form of communication that reflects concern for the feelings and experiences of others, especially in crisis situations. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques involving reading and noting 25 news articles from 13 online media outlets in Aceh, namely Serambi Indonesia, AJNN.net, KBA. ONE, Harian Rakyat Aceh, Aceh Info, Haba Nusantara.net, Waspada Aceh.com, Noa.co.id, Koalisi.co, Aceh.tribunnews.com, Portalsatu.com, Anteroaceh.com, and Acehkini.id published between 2023 and 2024. Data analysis was conducted based on Davis' empathetic theory, which encompasses four aspects: perspective taking, empathic concern, personal distress, and fantasy. The research findings revealed 64 instances of empathetic language, comprising 48 instances of empathic concern, 9 instances of perspective taking, and 7 instances of personal distress. The fantasy aspect was not identified as the news texts were factual and objective in nature. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on linguistically analyzing the use of empathetic language in the context of disaster journalism in the Aceh region, as well as the application of Davis' theory, which has not been widely used in journalistic language studies. This study contributes to the development of empathetic communication in the mass media and encourages more humanistic journalistic practices.
Naswa Nurafandi, Safriandi, Wulanda Copyright (c) 2026 Naswa Nurafandi, Safriandi, Wulanda https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/743 Tue, 24 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Shift of Ngoko Javanese Language in the Transmigrant Community https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/716
This study aims to describe the process of ngoko Javanese language shift and identify the factors causing the shift in ngoko Javanese language in the community of Mukti Makmur Village, Simpang Kiri District, Subulussalam City. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted in Gampong Gunung Ketek, Samadua District. Data were obtained thru in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from ten informants consisting of five teenagers and five parents. The research results show that the use of social media has an ambivalent effect on family relationships. WhatsApp and YouTube have a positive impact because they can strengthen communication, facilitate the exchange of information, and create moments of family togetherness. On the other hand, TikTok and Instagram tend to reduce the intensity of face-to-face interactions, foster individualism, and widen the communication gap between generations. Facebook, although increasingly less used by teenagers, still serves as a medium for maintaining relationships among parents and extended family. In general, this research emphasizes that the influence of social media on family relationships highly depends on the intensity of use, the purpose of interaction, and the values upheld within the family. Therefore, digital literacy and proportional supervision are necessary so that social media can be utilized as a means to strengthen, not weaken, family harmony in the digital era.
Bazkara Fazlullah, Abd Madjid, Fatimahsyam Copyright (c) 2026 Bazkara Fazlullah, Abd Madjid, Fatimahsyam https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/964 Thu, 19 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Sarcasm in the Comments Column of the MedanTalk Instagram Account: A Pragmatic Study https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/740
This research is entitled “Sarcasm in the Comment Column of MedanTalk Instagram Account: A Pragmatic Study”. One teaching approach considered to be highly effective is the AL-ETH strategy, which emphasizes active student participation by allowing learners to teach the subject matter to their peers. This research aims to investigate the impact of the AL-ETH method on IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 08 Koba. The study applied a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental approach. Data collection involved pretests and posttests, with instruments that had previously been validated for reliability and validity. The resulting data were then subjected to normality and homogeneity tests to verify their suitability for statistical analysis. The findings from the normality test showed that the control group had significance values of 0.233 for the pretest and 0.085 for the posttest. Similarly, the experimental group obtained significance values of 0.380 and 0.121 for the pretest and posttest, respectively. Since all values exceeded the 0.05 threshold, the data from both groups were deemed to be normally distributed. In addition, the homogeneity test revealed that both the pretest and posttest data were homogeneous, with significance values of 0.515 and 0.557. Based on these findings, the alternative hypothesis was accepted, suggesting that the “Everyone Is A Teacher Here” (AL-ETH) strategy had a statistically significant positive effect on improving IPAS learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 08 Koba.
Rahmi Rahmini, Vika Martahayu, Rifki Hanif Setiawan Copyright (c) 2026 Rahmi Rahmini, Vika Martahayu, Rifki Hanif Setiawan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/950 Sat, 21 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Student Perceptions of Teacher Teaching Styles, Learning Interests, Learning Styles, Social Support, and Family Environment on Student Learning Achievement in Economics https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/818
This study aims to determine the influence of students' perceptions of teacher teaching styles, learning interests, learning styles, social support, and family environment on student achievement in economics at MAN 6 West Pasaman. Obedience must be carried out consciously. Walisongo Junior High School is a religious-based school that is steeped in Islamic values. As a form of implementation of Islamic religious education at the school, daily routine activities of Dhuha prayer are carried out together in the mosque. This study aims to determine the background of the Dhuha prayer, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the school's efforts to improve student compliance with Dhuha prayer. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach with a case study approach, where to obtain research data the author used observation, interviews, and documentation methods directly. The results of the study indicate that in carrying out Dhuha prayer, students still need guidance from teachers considering that junior high school is a transitional age from elementary school. However, during the Dhuha prayer, all students participated and no one skipped class. If anyone missed the congregational Dhuha prayer, they still performed the prayer alone. This shows that student compliance is running as it should and has been ingrained in each student, not only in carrying out the Dhuha prayer, but also in other matters.
Arum Dina Prajna Paramita , Yushinta Eka Farida Copyright (c) 2026 Arum Dina Prajna Paramita , Yushinta Eka Farida https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/876 Thu, 05 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Hate Speech 2024 Presidential Candidates in Tiktok Account Comment Section from the Perspective of Social Media Literacy https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/713
This study aims to describe the types of hate speech and the meanings contained therein. In Islamic teachings, wudu is understood as a process of physical and spiritual purification that prepares a Muslim to worship and draw closer to Allah Almighty. Using a thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu‘i) approach to analyze Qur’anic verses and the Prophet Muhammad’s hadiths, this research reveals that each act in wudu carries symbolic meaning related to self-purification and self-control. Verses such as QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 222 and prophetic traditions on wudu indicate that physical cleanliness reflects inner purity, which fosters spiritual tranquility. The findings show that wudu embodies three essential dimensions: the ritual dimension as an act of obedience to Islamic law, the psychological dimension as a medium for relaxation and emotional calmness, and the spiritual dimension as a means of inner healing that connects humans with their Creator. Psychologically, the practice of wudu has been shown to reduce stress levels, enhance focus, and strengthen emotional balance through stimulation of the body’s nervous system. Theologically, wudu is part of the process of tazkiyah al-nafs (purification of the soul), shaping a Muslim’s character to be pure, peaceful, and spiritually aware. Therefore, wudu is not merely a ritual of physical cleanliness but also a form of spiritual healing that restores harmony between body, mind, and soul.
Ali Muddin Jailani Copyright (c) 2026 Ali Muddin Jailani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/936 Sun, 22 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Augmented Reality-Based Flashcard Development: Getting to Know Our Earth Improves Critical Thinking Skills in Fifth Grade Students https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/726
This research aims to develop learning media in the form of Augmented Reality (AR) based flashcards on the topic "Getting to Know Our Earth" for fifth-grade students at SDN Jegu 02, Blitar Regency, and to analyze its effectiveness in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method thru the analysis of relevant and credible literature, including academic books, journal articles, proceedings, and educational policy documents. The research results show that epistemology strengthens students' critical thinking skills and learning independence, ontology ensures the relevance of education to social, cultural, and digital realities, and axiology emphasizes the formation of character, morality, and national identity. The implementation of the philosophy of science in curriculum policies, such as Merdeka Belajar and MBKM, demonstrates the connection between philosophical foundations and educational practices, although challenges still arise from teachers' understanding, digital literacy gaps, and globalization pressures. This research concludes that the integration of the three aspects of the philosophy of science serves as a strategic foundation for adaptive, humanistic, and relevant education in line with the times. Recommendations are given for policymakers and education practitioners to place greater emphasis on the consistent application of the philosophy of science, as well as for further research to examine its implementation in specific contexts such as digital literacy and inclusive education.
Yumna Maghfirah, Christin Angelita Sianturi, Daulat Saragi Copyright (c) 2026 Yumna Maghfirah, Christin Angelita Sianturi, Daulat Saragi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/869 Mon, 23 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Contextualizing the Kacapi Instrument in Karungut Tradition: A Reflection of Indonesian Art Education Paradigm through Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Philosophy https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/963
This study aims to analyze the pedagogical and philosophical meanings contained in the kacapi instrument in the Karungut oral tradition of the Dayak Ngaju people in Central Kalimantan and its relevance to Ki Hadjar Dewantara's philosophy of education. Using descriptive-ethnographic qualitative methods, this study explores the symbolic and moral dimensions of the kacapi instrument and Karungut as a form of cultural pedagogy. The results show that the kacapi functions not only as a musical accompaniment, but also as a symbol of balance, spirituality, and wisdom, which is embodied through symbolic ornaments such as Batang Garing and Burung Enggang. This representation is in line with Ki Hadjar Dewantara's three principles of education, namely Ing Ngarso SungTulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, and Tut Wuri Handayani, which emphasize character building through exemplary behavior, guidance, and freedom of expression. Thus, the recontextualization of the kacapi in the Karungut tradition becomes a form of culture-based arts education that fosters moral character, ecological awareness, and cultural identity.
Dhea Elvionita Surya, Uus Karwati, Reni Haerani Copyright (c) 2026 Dhea Elvionita Surya, Uus Karwati, Reni Haerani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/963 Sat, 21 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Development of Flashcards Using PBL Model to Increase Adversity Quatient of Grade IV Students SDN Kabupaten Blitar https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/689
This study aims to develop flash card learning media on the material of flat area with Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to improve Adversity Quotient (AQ) of fourth grade students of SDN Ngoran 02 Blitar Regency. The results of the observation of learning in pre-cycle students experience difficulties in learning independently due to a lack of motivation from the teacher and confusion in understanding and finding references to subject matter. This research is a classroom action research with blended learning variables to increase learning independence. From the implementation of the actions of cycle II, it is known that there is an increase in learning independence through the Blended Learning approach. It can be seen from (1) the criteria for learning independence, namely the average score of the selfconfidence aspect is 81.43; discipline aspect 81.07 ; initiative aspect 79.64 ; and aspects of responsibility 82.14. The average score for each aspect has reached the minimum completeness criteria, namely 75. (2) where the average student score increases from cycle I (before action) which is 62.14 and in cycle II is 77, 14. (3) Learning completeness also increased from cycle I, namely 42.86% to 85.71% in cycle II. Thus thematic learning with a blended learning approach is said to be successful. As for the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning, the advantages of this approach include that students are more active in learning, learning is more varied and interesting with various learning support platforms, and student learning independence increases. While the weaknesses are such as if the teacher does not master the learning support platform, the learning objectives will not be achieved.
Nya Abelia Fitri, Izatum Mufida, Nadia Ayu Wulandari, Dea Intan Nuraini, Suttrisno Copyright (c) 2026 Nya Abelia Fitri, Izatum Mufida, Nadia Ayu Wulandari, Dea Intan Nuraini, Suttrisno https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/674 Sat, 21 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Influence of Student Creativity, Learning Media, Teacher's Teaching Style, Family Environment, and Study Hours on the Learning Outcomes of 11th Grade Students in PKK Subject https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/804
This study aims to analyze the effect of student creativity, learning media, teacher teaching style, family environment on the learning outcomes of class XI students in PKK subjects at SMKN 1 Simpang Alahan Mati.Using a quantitative approach with associative research methods, data obtained from 74 students selected through stratified random sampling techniques (strata). Literature sources were obtained from Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), focusing on publications from 2020 to 2025. The findings reveal that teaching strategies involving exemplary behavior, habituation, supervision, and the implementation of reward and punishment systems are effective in fostering students’ discipline. The effectiveness of these strategies is further enhanced when integrated with engaging and contextual learning media such as educational videos, animations, and interactive digital tools. The synergy between teaching strategies and learning media strengthens the internalization of discipline values through meaningful learning experiences. However, research gaps were identified, including the limited number of empirical studies examining the synergistic relationship between teacher strategies and learning media, as well as the lack of longitudinal studies assessing long-term impacts. Furthermore, few studies have explored the integration of emerging technologies such as gamification and augmented reality in character education. Therefore, it is essential to develop an integrative learning model based on classroom teacher strategies and interactive digital media to reinforce students’ disciplinary character, contributing both theoretically to character education and practically to promoting a sustainable culture of discipline in elementary schools.
Anisa Alkamila, Haifaturrahmah, Muhammad Nizaar Copyright (c) 2026 Anisa Alkamila, Haifaturrahmah, Muhammad Nizaar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/958 Sat, 21 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Development of Numeracy Learning Media to Improve Critical Thinking Skills of Sixth-Grade Students in Elementary Schools in Central Jakarta https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/973
This study aims to develop numeracy learning media in the form of a numeracy board and examine its effectiveness in improving the critical thinking skills of sixth-grade elementary school students in Central Jakarta. The background of this research stems from the growing phenomenon of hate speech on social media, which often targets public figures particularly regional officials potentially influencing public image and trust. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including reading, documentation, and note-taking on comments containing hate speech. The data were analyzed based on hate speech categories according to the Indonesian National Police Circular, R. Soesilo (in Permatasari & Subyantoro), the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), and other relevant theories on hate speech. The results indicate that there are 62 comments containing hate speech, consisting of 45 insults, 11 cases of defamation, 1 blasphemy, 3 instances of provocation, and 2 hoaxes. The most dominant category is insults, followed by defamation. This study concludes that social media has become a vulnerable space for the dissemination of hate speech, particularly in the context of local political issues. These findings are expected to provide input for the public to engage more wisely in online discourse and for authorities to strengthen digital literacy and law enforcement.
Eviyana, Muhammad Iqbal, Juni Ahyar Copyright (c) 2026 Eviyana, Muhammad Iqbal, Juni Ahyar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/746 Tue, 24 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Partial Oral Folklore Analysis of the Beguru Traditional Ceremony of the Bener Meriah Regency Community: Educational and Cultural Perspectives https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/730
This study aims to describe the denotative meaning and connotative meaning contained in the beguru traditional ceremony of the people of Bener Meriah Regency. By employing a qualitative literature review that synthesizes classical philosophical texts on logic with contemporary mathematical analysis, the study aims to recontextualize the Venn Diagram as a critical epistemological instrument for valid reasoning. The methodology focuses on integrating foundational principles of philosophy with the diagram's procedural mechanics. The analysis reveals that the systematic notation of the Venn Diagram (shading for null sets and 'x' for existential import) provides a formal, visual procedure for testing the validity of syllogistic arguments. This process effectively transforms abstract logical structures into a tangible "visual logic," enhancing both problem-solving capabilities and the philosophical pursuit of rigor and clarity. In conclusion, this recontextualization successfully demonstrates the Venn Diagram’s function as a crucial bridge between abstract logic and concrete critical thinking, suggesting the need to reinforce the teaching of such visual-logical tools within broader philosophical and educational frameworks to cultivate robust moral and critical reasoning.
Andi Kamal Ahmad, Nurcholish Aziz, Marjuni, Afifuddin Harisah, Muhammad Amin Copyright (c) 2026 Andi Kamal Ahmad, Nurcholish Aziz, Marjuni, Afifuddin Harisah, Muhammad Amin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/939 Sun, 22 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Application of the Cooperative Model Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Assisted by Animated Video Learning Media on Narrative Text Writing Skills in Class X https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/748
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model assisted by animated video media on narrative text writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMAN 17 Bandung. The research method employed a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group, involving 72 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data collection was conducted through pretest, posttest, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using parametric statistics with SPSS 21.0. Results indicated significant improvement in the experimental class with average scores increasing from 1.67 to 2.5 (normalized gain 0.72), while the control class only improved from 1.55 to 1.93 (normalized gain 0.34). Paired sample t-test yielded significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming meaningful differences between groups. The STAD model assisted by animated video proved effective in facilitating active collaboration and visual stimulation supporting writing creativity. Students demonstrated improvement in character development, characterization, and contemporary language style. This research recommends implementing this learning model as an innovative strategy to enhance narrative text writing skills at the senior high school level.
Susilawati, Dindin, Meity Suratiningsih Copyright (c) 2026 Susilawati, Dindin, Meity Suratiningsih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://digitalpress.gaes-edu.com/index.php/jpled/article/view/748 Tue, 24 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000
