Conflict of Interest

Journal of Practice Learning and Educational Development (JPLED)

1. Policy Statement

JPLED is committed to ensuring transparency, fairness, and integrity in the publication process. All authors, editors, reviewers, and other parties involved in the publication process must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may influence their judgment or responsibilities.

2. Definition of Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest may arise from financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could influence, or appear to influence, the research, peer review, or editorial decision-making process. Such conflicts do not automatically indicate misconduct but must be disclosed and appropriately managed.

3. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests that may influence the research or interpretation of the results. All sources of funding and relevant affiliations must be stated in the manuscript.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should include the following statement:

“The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest.”

4. Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers

Editors and reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest related to a submitted manuscript. They must decline or withdraw from handling or reviewing a manuscript when personal, professional, institutional, financial, or collaborative relationships could compromise their objectivity.

Editors will assign the manuscript to another qualified editor or reviewer when necessary to ensure an impartial evaluation.

5. Management of Conflicts of Interest

JPLED will assess disclosed conflicts and take appropriate measures to protect the integrity and fairness of the publication process. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in editorial action, including rejection of a manuscript or other appropriate measures in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies.
