Abstract

The background of this study is seen from the results of student analysis stating that 59% of students have difficulty learning using the lecture method, and 93% of students enjoy learning using digital media. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia of the human digestive system containing scientific literacy for elementary school students that is valid and practical. In this study using the R&D method with the 4D model through define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects used consisted of 29 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 8 Toboali. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire from media experts and material experts, as well as student and teacher response questionnaires. The results showed that the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 96.16% "very valid", and media experts obtained a percentage of 90% "very valid", while from student responses the results of small-scale tests obtained a percentage of 98% "very practical", and large-scale tests obtained a percentage of 97% "very practical", and teacher responses obtained a percentage of 100% "very practical". The dissemination stage was carried out on a limited basis by distributing products to fifth-grade students and socializing to teachers and distributing products through scientific journal publications so that they could be widely accessed. Thus, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia on the human digestive system containing scientific literacy shows a very high level of validity and is easy to apply in learning activities.
