Abstract

The quality of education is an important factor that determines the success of individuals and society. Quality education equips students with the knowledge, skills and values ​​they need to thrive in a complex world. Principals play an important role in shaping the quality of education in their schools. However, the impact of principal leadership on the quality of education is often indirect. This is mediated by teacher performance. An effective principal can empower teachers to be more effective, which ultimately leads to improved student learning outcomes. The objectives of this study are, 1) To analyze the influence of Principal Leadership on the Performance of Madrasah Aliyah Teachers in Karangasem District. 2) To analyze the influence of Teacher Performance on the Quality of Madrasah Aliyah Education in Karangasem District. 3) To analyze the influence of Principal Leadership on the Quality of Madrasah Aliyah Education in Karangasem District. 4) To analyze the influence of Principal Leadership on the Quality of Education through Madrasah Aliyah Teacher Performance in Karangasem District. While the type of research in this study is quantitative with a correlational approach. The results of this study are, 1) There is a significant positive influence of Principal Leadership on Teacher Performance of 97.9%, with a p-value <0.05. This means that the contribution of principal leadership to the performance of Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Karangasem District is very good, so H1 can be accepted. 2) There is a significant positive influence between teacher performance on the quality of Education, with a percentage value of 81.3%. 3) The percentage of significant positive influence of principal leadership on the quality of Education is 71.9%. This means that principal leadership has a very significant contribution to improving the quality of Education. 4) There is a significant positive influence of principal leadership on the quality of education through the performance of Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Karangasem sub-district. Teacher performance is able to influence principal leadership on the quality of education, with a percentage of 70.4%. This means that principal leadership not only directly affects the quality of education, but also indirectly through teacher performance.
